Image of Grants of Sidmouth
From toast and tea to savouries and serious food, including vegetarian options, the whole menu is available throughout the day. Children's platters and a special roast on Sunday. With a creative kitchen their menu varies seasonally in addition to some daily specials. Searching out suppliers to find the best quality, whether in meat or fish, vegetables or homemade jams and handmade bread and cakes. We like the small producer. There is a range of carefully selected, individual, Wines and Beers as well as fine teas, coffee, drinks and juices. A superb airy Dining Room with panoramic street views and a sun terrace for balmy days. Informal and friendly.

Meatloaf (easy)

Meatloaf (easy)

Submitted by Karen Hurley

Ingredients

1 pack of pork mince (or turkey for lower fat option). 1 large onion. 2 cloves of garlic. 8tbsp parmesan. 1 egg. 1tbsp oregano. 1tbsp parsley. 8 slices of streaky bacon. 2 slices of bread.

Instructions

pop everything (accept bacon) into a food processor until finely chopped. line a loaf tin with baking paper, and then the streaky bacon. pop the mince mixture into the tin, fold over the ends of the bacon, and top with a few more slices. cover with more baking paper and chill for at least an hour (I make mine the day before i need it). I think cook for 1hour in my fan assisted oven at 170C. served hot with spuds and grave, or cold with a ploughman's :)
