In terms of general feedback, I have been consistently impressed with the quality and variety of the products received from Devon Rose and fully intend to carry on using you. We particularly enjoy the quality of the chicken - even the thighs and wings are meaty and delicious, which is not always the case when bought in supermarkets etc. Also, the braising steak is superb. Oh, and I use the beef sausage meat to make meatballs which are a big hit in our house!

the turkey was the best we have had in years, I usually have one from Waitrose but this year had a go at internet shopping and hey presto! I may try one of your monthly boxes as I already have a local veg box delivered and to be honest I think it stops you from being lazy in the kitchen as I tend to use what I have in the box instead of shopping for what I want! It makes you look out recipes to fit what you have, as well as supporting small and local producers as well.

You would positively glow with pride if you heard the remarks of my friends. Actually it's a church barbecue so not quite the same as personal guests and they are not complimenting me particularly. I just hear many comments from people about how delicious the burgers and sausages are. Some ask me where I bought them. This year twin 85 year old men told me they would certainly be coming if the same delicious sausages would be available. They must have been very special to be remembered 12 months later!

Just wanted to say, I bought your classic pork sausages from John Lewis in Oxford Street earlier this week and my husband and I thought they were probably the best we've tasted for a long time. Would like to see them in the Buckhurst Hill or South Woodford branch of Waitrose.

A few weeks ago I ordered some items which included a piece of beef. I placed it in the freezer and decided to use it on Monday last. I've got to say it was like butter. It was so tender, absolutely delicious and I would like to order it again!

We have just returned from another holiday in Beer (we have friends who own Woozie's Deli there-who don't stock your products!), during which we visited Dorchester and spotted your Applewood smoked dry cured free range bacon in the window of a deli there, and bought a packet. What a wonderful product!! The smell of the Applewood assails the nostrils and tantalises the palate and taste buds as soon as the outer packaging is breached. The subsequent taste more than lives up to the gastric expectation.

"Devon Rose has long been one of my favourite meat suppliers especially when it comes to pork. All its pigs are free-range and traditionally raised, which shows in the quality of its meat. I recently tried the beetroot cured apple smoked streaky bacon- and it was fantastic. The beetroot adds sweetness but never overwhelms while the smoke is just right. I have been a customer for quite a while and everything I have bought has been of excellent quality, and it's great to be able to buy farmed and wild meats from the same place. The website is very user-friendly and the service is absolutely first class, nothing is too much trouble. Having previously thought nothing but organic is good enough, since reading the Devon Rose charter and tasting the results for myself, I am reluctant to buy my meat from anywhere else.

Devon Rose are great. There's a fabulous selection of meat and the prices are excellent. There's background info on the welfare standards and breeds of all the animals they keep.As well as the usual meat and game, they sell home made products such as Scotch eggs, hams and pates. They thoughtfully cater for allergies and dietary preferences (reduced fat, gluten free), and sell a unique chemical free bacon that's pinked up with beetroot instead of potassium nitrite. They sell meat boxes which can be personalised and are very good value and quality. The sausages are gorgeous - I'm making myself hungry just thinking about them!

When my sister was very unwell I sent one of the Devon Rose mixed hampers, it was far better than flowers. I am a huge fan of traditionally reared, slower growing breeds. For meat with taste and texture, it is a welcome change from all that is usually offered; their boxes parachute in meat with character. When we recieved a surprise early cash christmas present, I went straight online and ordered a christmas hamper. It was magnificant, the contents kept us going for months.

I am just writing quickly to let you know that I have really enjoyed the meat boxes I have had (2 so far). Everything has been delicious, especially the lamb. And the service has been exceptional. My mother is a farmer (in North West Spain) so I am keenly aware of how good things can taste - her lamb and kid meat is out of this world, her chickens graze freely and eat good things - it makes a real difference. I just wish this kind of experience could become universal and the norm.

We have thoroughly enjoyed everything we have received in the boxes - the duck and the joint of beef and the bacon we received the last time were particularly AMAZING! I'd never cooked a whole duck before so the meat box has also enabled us to try cooking cuts of meat that we hadn't done before!

received your hamper on Thursday, you said Thursday and Thursday it was. It was refreshing in itself to receive something on the day that it was expected to arrive. What a wonderful hamper it was! Full of everything that anyone would be really pleased to have gotten. Had the lamb yesterday, moist, thick, tender and full of flavour. But as little as I know you, I know that what you put in your prize hampers you see as a reflection of you and your standards and you wouldn`t send out anything that you wouldn`t be thrilled to have. Just tried a pack of your chipolata sausages, which I bought from a deli in Dorchester.Fantastic. Have been to farmers markets, specialists, and always been disappointed with so called "old fashioned sausages". These really hit the spot. Best bangers I have had for years. These bangers are superb. Tasty, succulent, juicy (without excess fat spillage) don't shrink, don't split, and not over salted. Fabulous. I shall spread the word.

The bacon tases just like the bacon of my child hood and the Scotch Eggs you could die for they are the best that I have tasted in my 57 years of eating.

I have to date only bought organic chicken but having bought your free range chicken a few times from Fresh and Wild (and your utterly delicious bacon!), I found it to be the only chicken comparable to the organic I've had (in fact probably better!)

We received our first order the other week and last night savoured the venison steaks ...which were absolutely delicious ! Trust this finds you in good form ...not too busy ...and most certainly NOT committed ...hmmmmm lol

I receive a regular food parcel from Devon Rose - what a treat. The lamb steaks last night were just gorgeous. The venison steaks are to die for and their fillet steaks are indescribably good. The service isimpeccable and the products are extremely good value for money, given the quality of the produce.

A family run business which makes every customer feel special. Their food is second to none. Their efficiency and prompt deliveries unquestionable. I was so happy to discover this outlet and each Christmas we have a hamper from them which is excellent value for money. They will even make up hampers to your own requirements - ie. if you have a relative (ie mother in my case) living on their own, sometimes packs of meat can be too big. Devon Rose will find out what they like and size the packs accordingly. Therefore no waste and even more value for money. You feel like an individual and a very special customer when you contact them. I cannot praise this company enough - vegetarians don't know what they're missing!!
